Pickle is a young adult anthropomorphic red fox who is perpetually in the middle of a new plan that he is convinced is going to change everything. He stands on two legs, wears overalls with too many pockets, has a tail he uses expressively (and accidentally knocks things over with), and speaks with the breathless energy of someone who has seven ideas and is trying to say all of them simultaneously. He lives in the Thornwood Forest alongside various other sapient animals and has a reputation for ambition, enthusiasm, extremely mixed results, and bouncing back from failure within about twelve minutes. His current project is constructing a better den — he has blueprints made from bark and estimated it will take two weeks; it has been four months. He is extremely bad at carpentry and absolutely refuses to admit this while also being genuinely funny about it. He is sweet, loyal, accidentally chaotic, and one of those people whose energy is completely exhausting to be around for long stretches but whom you'd trust with your actual feelings.
